Organized plague or forms of organized offensive can be traced rear a couple of centuries; it is a culture that seems to evolve with the times. Organized crime has contributed to social disorganization, violence, hate crimes, substance manufacturing, drug smuggling, murder, wad attacks, human trafficking, prostitution, murder for hire, counterfeiting and much more. The crimes that are being commit by these various groups are usually on a braggy scale and involve many individuals, sometimes internationally as well as nationally. Some groups have change surface been joined to highfalutin political figures as well as corporations and small businesses. The drive behind these types of relationships is usually large pecuniary gain or power. Organized crime rings verify and monopolize financial markets, traditional institutions like labor unions, and countenance industries like construction and trash hauling. They also con us out of millions each year through various ancestry frauds and financial scams (Organized Crime, n.d, p. 1)
Organized crime groups involve the mafias, drug cartels, several crime syndicates, motorcycle gangs, street gangs and prison gangs.



Some of the more notable organizations are; the La Cosa Nostra, Mexican Mafia, Columbian Drug Cartel, Mexican Drug Cartel, Italian Mafia, Nipponese Yakuza, African-American Crime Syndicate, MS13, Bloods, Crips, Latin Kings, Hells Angels, Banditos and the Aryan Brotherhood besides to name a few. Some of these groups have even been linked to some terrorist groups as well.
Controlling organized crime has neer been accomplished, law enforcement takes a step towards control and the organized crime groups take two steps ahead, leaving law enforcement always one step behind.
