There are three types of plate boundaries including convergent plate boundaries, divergent plate boundaries and transform plate boundaries. Convergent plate boundaries are boundaries along the earths plate that scram new layers of the earths impudence as the earths plates pull away from each other. Divergent plate boundaries are plate boundaries along the earths novelty that destroy the earths crust as one of the plates slides under another plate in the earth. Transform plate boundaries are plate boundaries that rub against each other horizontally without destroying the earths crust or generating new crust.

As the earths plates move and collide, sudden movements and disturbances in the earths crust occur causing what is known as tremors and earthquakes (Murek, Skinner & Mackenzie, 2008).
