The “Trifles,” by Susan Glaspell, is a well written, insightful play of how wo men were perceive and treated during the 1800-1900’s. The title alone becomes an important focal halt of the gender role conflicts. The roles of the women in the story provide need tension of a situation that is not at whole trifling. A domestic crime scene accuses a wife of allegedly killing her husband. The investigating t give birth’s men follow the routine protocol and standard criminal rightness procedures. Just like most criminal minds, they use their own logical reasoning, but the men are not equal to produce conclusive evidence and prove that the wife rattling killed her spouse.
