It became what is now referred to as the coldness War. This war differed from any the world had seen before, as the fights were non-violent and speech communication and policies became the weapons. The lengthy war compel three United States presidents to agree quick and nerve racking decisions in order to retain the worlds peace and protect the countrys high rank in the evolving global community. Presidents waste S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and tin F. Kennedy each had a unique approach towards handling the Cold War. However, one presidents actions stand out from the rest, and that is those of Harry S. Truman.  Harry S. Truman held the office of President of the United States from 1945 through 1953, incoming the position at the start of the Cold War. The war began rattling shortly after World War II, when the United States and the Soviet Union found their ideology to be significantly contrary. The marked polarity of the stances became apparent during the Yalta Conference when the two global powers were forced to decide on the fate of the struggling war-torn European countries.

Initially, Roosevelt was in charge of dealing with these orthogonal affairs, but, when he passed away, it became Trumans job as president to deal with these issues. Truman was not swell up versed in foreign policy, and he accognitiond that his knowledge on the subject was vague at best. His response to this was to come to with those who were closest to FDR to help him make his decisions. Unfortunately, Trumans first foreign policy decision almost ended in disaster after he stopped Lend-Lease aid to the Soviet Union.
