that was World War II? Tens of millions were killed, mostly civilians.
The war cover almost all of Europe, parts of Asia, North Africa
and the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. No one living at this
time was unaffected by this conflict. While some of the issues are
complex, there were three major(ip) causes: The Treaty of Versailles,
The Great Depression, and Fascist aggression.
There were many belligerants in the First World War.
But, as the loser, Germany was held completely responsible.
The ensuing tready stultify Germany economically. A fragile
democracy, called the Weimer Republic, was weak and ineffective.
The German people felt humiliated and cried out for a government
that could restore order and their finger of pride, regardless of this
persons politics. This led to the rise of Adolf Hitler and his war
machine.
Another precedent was the stock market crash of 1929 and the
Great World Depression. approximately countries had terrible problems, so
they turned inward, and did not get involved in world politics. They
were tired of war, and wished to avoid a confrontation at all costs.
Major powers like the United States did not hit Europe as their
problem and refused to get involved. This cummulated with the
failure of the federation of Nations to stop Hitler from invading
Czechoslovakia, appeasing Hitler instead of uniting against him. nevertheless
when Hitler invaded Poland was it clear that war was inevitable.

The Nationalist socialistic party, led by Adolf Hitler, preached
racial purity. They believed that the German people descended from
a master race, and all other peoples were inferior. They had a
