With the start of World War I the United States tested to proclaim their inertity by attempting to keep peace with all told nations. When other nations took attack on the United States President Wilson headstrong to continue in stating that the U.S. did not want to go to war and that we as a nation believed in human rights and that attacks on innocent members would not be tolerated. With the constant public horizon weighing heavily on the president to remain neutral and stay out of the war more and more raft began to strongly disagree with entering the war on Germanys side. Race played an important role in Americas development because even in a prison term of war Black bulk were seen as uneducated and ineffective to protect the nation in a time of colossal need. The fixed infatuation the nation had on immigrants and black the great unwashed and their inability to be seen as equal had caused the nation to use a color line to separate them and model against oneness another rather than with each other.

In many of the articles I read I found a common university extension to Du Bois concept of the color line, which is described as, the color difference of strip down from light to dark throughout all men from Asia to Africa and in between.
