Travels With Charley

Travels with Charley Book Review
Travels With Charley was create by forward-looking York: Viking Press and published in 1962. This book is first edition. It has 210 p ages. The author John Steinbeck was a very curious man; I say that because he wrote the book because he had the attitude to hear the United States for his egotism with his own eyes.
When Steinbeck first got Rocinante, he was ready to take a trip all around America to refresh his retentivity and rediscover a country he has been writing about. Steinbecks adventure that he is completing this trip at the age of 58 shows that he will non give up on any dream. But a few generation in the story he was kind of scared and did non want anything to happen to any of his things like when hurricane turn inna came about he had wished that none of his stuff would get finished but broadly speaking Rocinante. When the hurricane was over and he was dragged out of the water everything around him was ruined; power lines, no telephones but luckily Rocinante was ok. There is no telling what Steinbeck would have done without Rocinante. Rocinante being okay was a hint that this trip may face its ups and downs, but in the end, everything will be fine and his trip will not make him regret what he went through. As we can lift up Steinbeck is a man of adventure and that nothing will barricade him.

Most of the people around him are older or old as him and does not have much push button or interest in adventures. Steinbeck is going to live his manners to the completeest.
Steinbeck tells of travelling throughout the United States in a in particular made camper he named Rocinante, after the horse of Don Quixote. His travels start in Long Island, New York, and follows the outer besiege of the United States. From Maine to the Pacific Northwest, down into Salinas Valley in California, across to Texas, up through the Deep South, and then back to New York. Later in the story we find out that the real reason for the trip was that Steinbeck knew he was dying and wanted to see his country one last...If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Orderessay
